Biography
Sophie Gobeil specializes in protein structural biology. More specifically, she is interested in the role of conformational dynamics of viral fusion proteins in the formation of protein-protein interaction interfaces. Her laboratory uses cryogenic electron microscopy (Cryo-EM), nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) and X-ray crystallography to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying microbial infections.
